Alice was born in the Deep South, although you’d never know that to listen to her. Although she always keeps the sounds of the South in her back pocket, a BFA and an MFA in Acting whipped her speech into regionless-land.
After some years in Seattle getting her Masters degree and doing theatre, she moved with her wife to Los Angeles in 1997.
In Los Angeles she’s worked in theatre, film, TV, looping, and voiceovers. She was a recurring guest star on Judging Amy for 13 episodes and has guest-starred on Modern Family, ER, Frasier, Eli Stone and Gilmore Girls, among others. In LA theatre she had the leading role in a play she co-wrote, In Flagrante Gothicto, which won the Garland Award 2000 for Performance, 2000 Best Comedy Ensemble as well as LA Drama Critics Circle 2000 Writing Award, The Ted Schmitt Award for Best Original Play, LA Weekly 2000 Theatre Award for Playwriting, and Backstage West Garland Award for Playwriting. She also co-wrote and played the lead in the musical Laura Comstock’s Bag- Punching Dog. Other notable plays that she has done are FUBAR, Maggie Cassidy at Yale Rep, Electra Fugues, Texarkana Waltz and Great Men of Science, Nos 21&22 which won the LA Weekly Award 1998 Best Ensemble.
A few years ago she began to explore audiobook narration and fell in love. Alice has a custom sound booth in her Hollywood home that is her happy place.
